Every town has a great coffee place. What is Miami’s?

That’s easy. Panther Coffee in Wynwood is Miami’s local coffee roaster and is the best place to enjoy a fantastic coffee experience. It’s a great place to mix and mingle with local Bohemians and soak in the Wynwood vibe.

YVE, where’s the best place to get some amazing sushi while I’m here?

If you’re looking for a fabulous sushi experience that’s just around the corner then I think there’s only one choice: Naoe on Brickell Key Drive. This tiny place is my go-to spot for incredibly fresh fish and I have to admit that chef’s Omakase menu is about as close to utter bliss as I’ve ever come.

What if I’m craving something a little bit more “out-of-the-box”?

Easy. Don’t be put off by the name! Pubbelly Sushi on Miami Beach serves some of the best and most creative sushi you’ll find anywhere. Get ready for a true gastro-adventure with lots of unlikely combinations and cross-cultural fusions that somehow always seem to click. Believe me. you might start out a skeptic, but you’ll leave a fan!

I should try a Cuban Sandwich while I’m here, right?

For the classic "Cubano," there's still no better place to go than that most classic Cuban restaurant, Versailles.  It might not be the absolutely best Cuban Sandwich in Miami, but dining in the unique mirrored dining room in the heart of the Calle Oche is a true Miami experience that shouldn’t be missed. Want another tip? Try eating outside or ordering at the “to-go” window with all the locals.

Where can I get some great seafood that’s simple & delicious?

Well, that’s a loaded question, and really the only answer I can give is “it depends”. If you’re craving one of South Florida’s famous fried Grouper sandwiches you can’t go wrong with La Camaronera, but make sure to try the fish soup and the black eyed pea fritters. If you want something healthier, head to Garcia’s Seafood Grill on the river.

Miami doesn't get the credit it deserves for its fabulous food scenes. Most of us love the fact that many of our best restaurants are still flying under the radar, but don't worry I'm totally ready to share some of my favorites. Check out some of the suggestions down below or check out "Ask YVE" for some more "out-of-the-box" ideas.
