Hurricane Florence

Resort Update: Monday, September 17th 2018

It's a beautiful day on Isle of Palms!

The City of Isle of Palms, City of Charleston and state of South Carolina leadership and emergency management officials went to great lengths to ensure the safety of our resort visitors and associates. We are so fortunate to have weathered the storm with minimal effect. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by Hurricane Florence.

The Team is returning today and we will re-open the resort to welcome guests. Are you looking to get rid of that cabin fever? Both the Harbor and Links golf course are open for play. Click here to book a tee time

Resort Update: Friday, September 14th 2018

The Resort continues to monitor the path and progression of Hurricane Florence.  Isle of Palms’ 48 hour forecast includes the arrival of Tropical Storm conditions by midday, with winds peaking at 60 mph, 4-8 inches of rain and 2-4 feet of storm surge.  Because the storm is moving very slowly, flooding is the greatest threat.  There is about a 60% chance we will lose power during the storm.

Resort Update: Monday, September 10th 2018

While the anticipated path of Hurricane Florence and its potential impact on South Carolina is still uncertain, an evacuation order has been issued by the state of South Carolina starting at noon on September 11th. Wild Dunes Resort will preparing for the storm tomorrow, and as a result, resort services will be limited. Resort leadership is monitoring Hurricane Florence’s path and will provide updates over the next two days on the website and through social media channels. It is premature to make any additional predictions or plans. The safety of guests and associates continues to be the resort's primary priority.

We encourage everyone to be safe, prepare for the storm accordingly, and visit our Facebook page for regular updates on Wild Dunes Resort. For the most accurate information regarding the storm, please visit the National Hurricane Center website at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/.
