Wedding receptions are some of our favorite events to cater. We love celebrating the newly married couple, and what celebration is complete without delicious food? We have a large assortment of wines, beers, and specialty cocktails. We especially enjoy The Charleston, made with Firefly sweet tea vodka and house-made ginger lemonade. Hors d’oeuvres can be served both hot (deep fried mac and cheese, mini shrimp and grits, local bacon wrapped scallops, etc.) and cold (shrimp ceviche, pimento cheese deviled eggs, Lowcountry crab salad wedge, etc.) We have delicious buffet style displays like seafood, charcuterie, dips, seasonal fruits and veggies, and more. We also have yummy buffet style stations like oysters, Lowcountry boil, pasta, mash and mac bar, and more. Feeling fancy? Our carving stations include slow roasted prime rib, Lowcountry roasted pig, bourbon molasses glazed Virginia baked ham, and more. Finish it off with something sweet like s’mores, cereal milkshakes, drunk’n donuts, and more.
Whether you want your dinner to be family style or something chic, we can cater it just the way you like. Some of our favorite buffet options include our Taste of Charleston (baby green salad, BBQ pork chops, bacon jalapeno corn muffins, caramel cake, etc.), Island Splash (greens, grilled mahi-mahi, smashed red potatoes, tropical fruit tarts, etc.), Smokehouse (spinach and kale salad, smoked beef brisket, smoked gouda baked mac and cheese, cherry cobbler, etc.), The Chop House (lobster bisque, roasted rib eye, southern style oysters Rockefeller, cherry-whiskey bread pudding, etc.), and more. Our plated dinners include a selection of soup (she crab, sweet potato and mushroom bisque, roasted tomato, etc.), salad (field greens with bacon and black eyes peas, baby lettuces with poached pears and sugared walnuts, iceberg wedge with tomatoes and blue cheese, etc.), entrée (bronzed salmon, braised short ribs, oven roasted filet mignon, jumbo lump crab cakes, etc.), and dessert (citrus cheesecake, white chocolate chibouks, trio of profiteroles, salted caramel ganache tart, etc.)
Late Night Snacks
Planning an event that will go a little late? How about treat your guests to an unexpectedly delightful late night snack options. We can have a server pass around grilled cheese triangles with shots of tomato soup, cinnamon and sugar donut holes with cold brew coffee and bailey’s Irish cream, cheeseburger sliders with ketchup and pickles, French fry cones with truffle ketchup, mini chicken and waffles with maple syrup and fried chicken biscuits. Or we can set up late-night breakfast stations like monte cristo (ham, Swiss, strawberry preserves), waffles (Belgian waffles, warm maple syrup, fruit compote, toasted pecans, whipped cream, butter), and crepes (sweet or savory).
What’s better than breakfast and lunch? Brunch! And no one does brunch better than Charlestonians. Our Sweetgrass Brunch includes fresh baked muffins, Danish pastries, chocolate croissants, Greek yogurt with house made granola and fresh fruit, hearts of romaine salads with almonds, feta, and fruit, breakfast bowls, smoked salmon in banana leaf parcels, pecan wood smoked bacon, chicken sausage links, sweet potato and black eyed pea casserole with geechee boy grits, cappuccino brulee, juices, coffees, teas and add-ons of a bloody Mary bar (Charleston bloody Mary mix, vegetable juice, hot sauces, pickled vegetables, old bay) and mimosa bar(sparkling wine, variety of fresh juices and garnishes).
Are your guests staying overnight? Treat them to a delicious and nutritious breakfast to kick off their day. Some of our favorite options include the Palmetto (muffins, biscuits, eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fruit, etc.), the Tides (steel cut oats, smoked salmon, whole grain bread, fruit, eggs, etc.), and the Fresh Start (apple almond crunch bread, spinach bowl with quinoa and scrambled egg whites, fruit, nuts, etc.). Add on a chef station of omelets, breakfast tacos, or southern hash. Enhance the meals with smoothie bowls, dry cereals and milk, assorted bagels and toppings, biscuit sandwiches and more. A la carte enhancements include cold brew coffee, coconut water, vegetable juice, cinnamon rolls, deluxe mixed nuts, and more.
Don’t forget about lunch. Keep your guests going throughout the day with a yummy lunch spread. Choose from The Lighter Side of Southern (edamame salad, lightly fried flounder, biscuits, banana maple donut domes, etc.), South of Southern (pulled chicken soup, traditional fajitas, chips and queso, cinnamon sugar churros, etc.), Taste of Italy (classic Caesar salad, chicken piccata, toasted garlic bread, tiramisu cream puff, etc.), Across the Ocean (chicken potstickers, seasoned pork egg rolls, Korean style BBQ, coconut ginger rice pudding, etc.), and more. Or enjoy a plated lunch with a selection of appetizer (vegetable gazpacho, roasted corn chowder, field greens, etc.), entrée (pan seared chicken breast, chicken nicoise salad, portabello and fontina ravioli, etc.), and dessert (carrot cake, flourless chocolate torte, pistachio and orelys, etc.)
Wedding Day Bites
The day of your wedding can be hectic. Don’t forget to eat! We offer wedding day munchies (fresh sliced fruit, traditional hummus and pita triangles, cheese cubes and crackers, trail mix, macaroons, etc.), a bridal suite brunch (mini quiches, sliced melon, yogurt parfaits, bagels and cream cheese, etc.), wedding day bites (fresh sliced seasonal fruits and berries, domestic and imported cheese, nuts, dried fruit, crackers, etc.), the bride’s lunch (spinach and kale salad, fresh sliced fruit, chicken salad, fresh baked artisan bread, macaroons, etc.), tea time (caprese salad, pasta salad, platter of tea sandwiches, crudité with hummus and ranch, macaroons, etc.), and more.
Have your cake and eat it too at Wild Dunes. Our expert pastry chef will create your dream wedding cake that will have your guests coming back for a second slice. Choose from chocolate, vanilla, almond, or lemon cake flavors. Choose from Italian, meringue, or buttercream icing. Optional cake fillings include chocolate mousse, lemon curd, pastry cream, and raspberry jam. Designs include plain smooth buttercream icing or “naked” icing with a buttercream bead border around the bottom. Fondant ribbons can be added at the bottom of a tier.
