See It All - City Bus Tour

This air-conditioned and relaxing 90-minute bus tour is the best way to be introduced, or re-introduced, to the Holy City. Our professional and knowledgeable guides can answer all your questions.

What You'll Do
Highlights of this 1.5-hour will feature many stops at many architectural marvels in the historic district as well as a drive through the south's most famous military academy, The Citadel. Also included are stops at the Old City Market and many of the city's famous churches. You will also visit the scenic promenade and historical park better known as "The Battery" which is a beloved by people of all ages. Historic battle sites, such as Fort Sumter, lovely gardens, both seasonal and year round, are part of the tour as well.

This tour will feature a true hidden gem - The Powder Magazine. Explore South Carolina's oldest public building which features exhibits dedicated to their colonial military history.

South Carolina Aquarium

The South Carolina Aquarium is Charleston's #1 family attraction with 60 unique exhibits and more than 5,000 animals. Feed stingrays, see a rare albino American alligator, visit the Touch Tank for a hands-on encounter, and connect with Aquarium staff during daily interactive dive shows from the tallest tank in North America. What You'll Do
Be entertained by an intimate look at many of South Carolina’s native animals and plants as your journey through the Aquarium takes you from the mountains to the sea. While a list that details every animal is is far too long to list here, you will see the following types: Amphibians, fish, invertebrates, mammals, plants and reptiles. Before you go home, don’t miss the opportunity to visit South Carolina’s only hospital for sick and injured sea turtles. The care provided is extraordinary and their efforts will leave you speechless.

Did you know the Aquarium is a place to watch movies in 4-D? Have a seat in this unique theater, and view a 3-D movie while feeling special effects such as wind gusts, splashes of water and movement under your feet, all synchronized to family-friendly films. Now playing is Sea Monsters. The film is a 15 minute 4-D experience.

A parking garage operated by the City of Charleston is located at 24 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Metered parking is located along Washington Street and Concord Street.

Magnolia Plantation Bus Tour

Get the true Lowcountry experience on this guided tour of the beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Dating from 1676 and open to the public since 1870, this plantation and its world famous gardens offer have a full day's worth of history and beauty to discover.

What You'll Do
On this half day tour, that includes round trip transportation, you will enjoy a guided walk through America's last large scale Romantic Garden. Experience history on a 45 minute narrated tram ride past slave cabins and through swamps and rice fields, with wildlife like alligators, egrets, herons, and turtles in every direction. Before leaving, go back in time with a 30 minute tour of the Magnolia Plantation Home, the only plantation house on the Ashley River to survive both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Boone Hall Plantation Bus Tour

Take a trip through an important part of South Carolina history and explore one of America's oldest working plantations. As you tour Boone Hall, knowledgeable staff will help you understand the day-to-day activities of those who lived on the plantation as well as what it offers today.

What You'll Do

On this half day tour, that includes round trip transportation, you will have multiple starting options. Begin the day enjoying a 30 minute house tour that begins on the front porch and performed by character actors. Listen as they will introduce you to the history of Boone Hall Plantation and its evolution through several owners since 1681. Afterwards, experience the daily lives of the slaves that took care of the land. Walk in their shoes as you look at their living quarters, historic relics, and many lifestyles. After walking in their shoes, enjoy a live presentation featuring skits that capture the unique culture adapted by African slaves. Finally, finish the day touring the famous garden which features antique roses that are over 100 years old.
