At Wild Dunes Resort, the safety & well-being of our guests, associates, members, and community is top priority. We are actively monitoring developments and information surrounding COVID-19’s potential impact on travel to South Carolina and are pleased to share the ways we’re taking action to ensure care & cleanliness, as you consider your next visit.
This is a rapidly changing and sensitive situation. As we pay close attention to state and local mandates, we will provide the most up to date information we have regarding Resort operations on this page. For more information on the government orders, please see the following mandates (South Carolina and Isle of Palms).
RESORT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Hyatt Global Cleanliness Accreditation
At Wild Dunes Resort, we have committed to following the Hyatt Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment, which further enhances existing operational guidance and resources around colleague and guest safety and peace of mind. This multilayered commitment builds upon existing rigorous protocols and includes an accreditation process by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC); colleague training and support resources; and a cross-functional working group of medical experts and industry professionals that will contribute to various aspects of the hotel experience.
Hyatt has introduced GBAC STAR(TM) accreditation through a performance-based cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention program that will focus on establishing hotel environments that are sanitary, safe and healthy. The GBAC STAR(TM) accreditation will include detailed training at more than 900 Hyatt hotels worldwide, and Hyatt intends to complement this with regular internal and third-party auditing. GBAC is a division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, and is composed of leaders in the area of microbial-pathogenic threat analysis and mitigation, designed specifically to deal with biological threats and real-time crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.
7/14 RESORT-WIDE UPDATE: TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MOST SERVICES
Wild Dunes Resort remains committed to caring for our colleagues, guests and community. In light of the dynamic COVID-19 situation in the surrounding area of our resort, and to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and guests, we are temporarily suspending most resort operations at Wild Dunes until Friday, August 14, 2020, including the suspension of most recreation services and all food and beverage and retail services for resort guests. Links & Harbor golf courses are both temporarily closed.
During this period, the resort will not be booking any new reservations for resort or vacation rental stays prior to August 14, and guests with existing resort reservations and vacation rental reservations booked through the resort or Hyatt prior to August 14 will be contacted to arrange for re-booking at a later date or cancelled without penalty. Wild Dunes vacation residences, which are privately owned homes and condos, are still operating with limited services at this time. For full details and updates on resort operations, please visit www.destinationhotels.com/wild-dunes.
We will continue to closely monitor the ongoing situation, remain vigilant and follow local and state guidelines, as well as enhanced procedures and protocols developed in consideration of guidance and information from various health organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local authorities and other leading organizations and experts.
