Deposit and Cancellation Policies
Wild Dunes Homes & Villas Deposit: 50% of the value of the entire stay, inclusive of room rate, taxes, resort fees, and package items, is due at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is due 15 days prior to arrival and will automatically be charged to your credit card. If canceled 16+ days prior to arrival, full refund of deposit; If canceled within 15 days nonrefundable. A credit card authorization will be required for each stay upon check-in. The authorization amount will equal the remaining value of the stay plus $100 per night for incidentals and the authorization will be released within 5-7 business days of departure once the balance is paid in full. Any debit card authorization will result in the withholding of funds from the account for the aforementioned 5-7 business days. All deposits are placed in an interest bearing account. While you have a right to ownership of the interest, pursuant to this agreement, you relinquish that right to Wild Dunes Resort, which will receive any interest which may accrue.
Boardwalk Inn & The Village at Wild Dunes (TVWD) Deposit: One night stay inclusive of room rate, taxes, resort fees, and package items is required at the time of booking. Extended Stay Deposit: All extended stay reservations are required to pay one full month room charges at the time of booking. A credit card authorization will be required for each stay upon check-in. Any debit card authorization will result in the withholding of funds from the account for the aforementioned 5-7 business days.
What is the cancellation policy?
Boardwalk Inn Guest Rooms & Village at Wild Dunes Guest Rooms, Suites & Studios and meeting attendee cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit amount. Deposits for reservations cancelled more than 7 days before arrival will be refunded 100%. Wild Dunes Vacation Home & Villa cancellations made within 15 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the total value of the reservation. Deposits for reservations cancelled 16+ days in advance of arrival will be refunded 100%.
Advanced Purchase Offers: Boardwalk Inn Guest Rooms and Village at Wild Dunes Guest Rooms and Studios booked as advanced purchase reservations are required to pay the full amount at time of booking and at no time afterward is the reservation able to be canceled for a refund. 100% of the total value of the reservation will be consumed if canceled at any time.
Resort Services Fee: There is a resort services fee of 16% added to each accommodation rate (subject to change). Wild Dunes Resort is pleased to offer guests a number of services inclusive in the Resort Service Fee:
Tax Information: The current sales and accommodations tax percentage is 14%, which is subject to change without notice.
Rate Information: All rates are subject to availability and may change without notice. Rates do not include taxes/fees: Sales and Accommodations taxes 14%, Resort Services Fee 16% (listed above, subject to change). Also complimentary on-Resort transportation and business center access, preferred tee times and complimentary access to Grand Pavilion and Swim Center. Meeting and conference group attendees are also charged the group amenity fee.
Check-In Time: After 4 p.m. Boardwalk Inn guests check in at the Inn's front desk. The Village at Wild Dunes and Homes and Condos guests check in at The Village at Wild Dunes.
Check-Out Time: By 10 a.m. in Homes and Condos. By 11 a.m. in the Boardwalk Inn and The Village at Wild Dunes. A late departure fee may be assessed for departures after aforementioned times.
Date Changes: Change in arrival or departure date is considered a cancellation of those dates.
Supplies in TVWD Studios and Suites and Wild Dunes Homes and Condos: Towels, linens, fully equipped kitchen. Starter supply of toilet tissue, bath soap, liquid dish soap, paper towels and dish washing detergent.
The Boardwalk Inn and Village at Wild Dunes Housekeeping Information: All guest rooms and suites in the Boardwalk Inn and Village at Wild Dunes receive daily housekeeping services.
Wild Dunes Home and Condo Housekeeping Information: Stays under seven nights receive a departure clean only. Stays of seven nights receive a complimentary mid-week cleaning. Stay of eight or more nights receive a departure clean only. Rate includes Arrival/Departure Housekeeping. Housekeeping services in addition to those already provided are available upon request for an additional fee.
Wild Dunes Home and Condo Considerations: Certain areas in the rental units are reserved for the exclusive use of the property Owner and will not be available for rental use. Guest agrees to indemnify the rental Owner and Wild Dunes Resort for any damages to the premises, including damages to furnishings and household items. Fees starting at $350 will be assessed if damages are incurred.
Pets: Sorry, no pets are allowed. Fees starting at $350 will be assessed if pets are found in the accommodation.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in any rental units. Fees starting at $350 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the accommodation.
Outdoor Grilling: Outdoor grilling in rental units is strictly prohibited by local fire codes.
Vehicles: Motor homes, boat trailers, personal watercraft, motorcycles and other two wheeled motorized vehicles are prohibited within the gates of Wild Dunes. Wild Dunes Resort makes no provision for parking/storage of such vehicles.
Personal Items: Wild Dunes Resort is not responsible for the loss of any personal items or valuables. Safety deposit boxes are available upon request.
Balconies: Please refrain from hanging clothing or towels from the balconies, windows or railings in accordance with the Wild Dunes Community Association regulations.
City of Isle of Palms Ordinances: Isle of Palms noise ordinance requires that "quiet time" is in effect Sunday through Thursday from 10pm-10am and Friday and Saturday from 11pm-10am and includes noise restrictions on stereos, televisions and any other noise. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach and public streets. Guests will not exceed the occupancy limits of the accommodation as outlined in the Isle of Palms Livability Laws. Beach fires and fireworks are prohibited due to fire hazards. Beach chairs, umbrellas and tents left unattended on the beach after sunset may be disposed of by the City. For safety, guests are asked to refill any beach holes they may dig.
