Fly Fishing in Vail

Gore Creek and other Vail fishing options

The Gold Medal fly-fishing waters of Gore Creek meander through the Vail Residences at Cascade Village. These magnificent fishing waters are accented by the Town of Vail walking path for easy access to a variety of spots to take advantage of the diverse mix of Trout!

Find solitude in your rental condominium or homes backyard with easy access via the paved path.

Our signature fishing partner, the Vail Valley Anglers offer a mix of trips inclusive of half day, full day, float and wade options.

Vail Valley Anglers Wade Trips

Every guided wade trip includes a clean pair of Simms waders and wading boots, a cooler full of bottled water, fly rods and reels, transportation to and from the river, and an experienced, friendly fly fishing guide. All full-day trips include a freshly prepared streamside lunch. Lunch can be added to any half-day trip for a fee. Half-day wade trips last up to four hours, 3/4 day trips last up to six hours, and full-day trips provide you with more than six hours of fishing time on the water.

Guided trips do not include your Colorado fishing license or guide gratuity. All trip participants over the age of 16 are required to carry a valid Colorado fishing license with them while fishing. Also, we strongly encourage all of our trip participants to purchase their license online prior to their trip in order to save time and get on the water sooner.

Guided fly fishing trips go out rain or shine, and afternoon showers are common throughout the summer months. Please come prepared with an extra pair of socks, sunglasses, a hat, and a light rain jacket.

At Vail Valley Anglers, safety is our top priority, which is why drugs are not permitted on any of our fly fishing trips. We reserve the right to cancel any trip that becomes unsafe or unfishable. We will reschedule your class for a future date and try to make accommodations to your schedule, taking into consideration that the summer season is our busiest time of the year.
