Turner Mill Timbers produces rustic log furniture made of yellow birch harvested from the Ranch Valley, "the birthplace of skiing" in Stowe, Vermont. Learn basic woodworking, joinery and finish techniques to produce one-of-a-kind rustic log furniture that you can take home with you at the completion of the course! Students will also learn basic woodworking skills using hand tools including hand saws, electric drills and sanders. The course will cover sustainable harvesting of logs, drying, moisture content, project design, stock selection, layout, joinery and finish. No prior woodworking experience required.

As with many rural areas, the roads here can be a bit narrow and the shoulders are often small. However, Vermont drivers are used to sharing the road and tend to be very courteous to cyclists.
