Spruce Loop Bring the whole family including the dog and join us for a walk in the woods on our newest trail around the Stowe Mountain Lodge property. Over 1.7 miles of graveled path meanders around the property through forests adjacent to the spectacular Stowe Mountain Club golf course on Spruce Peak. Stop and enjoy the enchanted forest playground and enjoy Stowe Mountain’s own covered walking bridge. The scenery is breathtaking and it’s a wonderful way to spend time with your family!
Wiessner Woods is a perfect option for those seeking a big woods feel closer to home, or for those just looking for a stroll in the woods. Conserved in 1993 by Stowe Land Trust, Wiessner Woods boasts 80 acres of natural beauty including woods, streams, meadows, and an intricate and well maintained trail network. Perfect for snowshoeing, walking the dog, Nordic skiing, or a nice outing with the family, Wiessner Woods is a true gem in the Stowe community.
Bingham Falls is a short, easy hike and perfect for families with children. It’s a beautiful, two-tiered waterfall. The long, tight gorge along the river causes the water to create a deep rumbling, thunderous sound as it is forced downstream and eventually over the main 25-foot falls. This gorge is one of the prettiest in Vermont with a beautiful sunny open area to take it all in. Follow the trail to the base of the falls for perhaps the best gorge hiking and swimming in the area!
