  • What activities are offered on-site?

    On-site summertime offerings include Stowe Mountain Resort’s ZipTour, TreeTop Adventure, Indoor Rock Climbing, Auto Toll Road, Gondola Skyride, Guided Hikes, Golf at Stowe Mountain Golf Club.
    On-Site winter activities include: Skiing and riding, skating, snowshoeing.

  • Are Ski Rentals Available at Stowe Mountain Lodge?

    Ski, snowboard and skate rentals are conveniently located in the Spruce Camp Base Lodge, just steps from SML.

  • How do I book off-site activities or other services not offered by Stowe Mountain Lodge?

    Our Alpine concierge department can assist you with off-site activities, transportation assistance, dinner reservations and much more.

  • Is there a shuttle that goes into the town of Stowe?

    In the winter only, the town of Stowe operates a shuttle that picks up at Spruce Peak and makes multiple stops along the mountain road and into the village. Schedules can vary based on peak/non-peak times so please check with our staff for the most up to date schedule.

  • Is there a trail for running or biking on property?

    The Spruce loop is located on Stowe Mountain Lodge property and provides a great place for jogging and walking. Mountain Biking is not allowed on this trail, however.

  • What is the cancellation policy for activities?

    Each activity has its own parameters for cancellations. The Alpine concierge can assist you with understanding the policy for your chosen activity.

  • What types of activities are available for children?

    There are many activities available for young children including the Enchanted Forest Playground, Ice Skating, rock climbing, game room and many seasonal activities and events geared towards our younger guests.

  • Are reservations required for the available activities?

    Reservations processes vary based on the activity but are always recommended to ensure availability. Our Alpine Concierge team can assist with making these reservations for you.

  • What is the weather like in Stowe, VT?

    Stowe Mountain Lodge sits at the base of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak. Because of this mountain environment, the weather can vary greatly from season to season and even from day to day. We experience cool summers, with daytime highs often in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Winter highs average between 10-35 degrees with nighttime lows in the single digits. It is highly recommended that you prepare for all types of weather, which can change suddenly, when participating in outdoor activities.

  • How far is Stowe Mountain Lodge from the nearest city/airport?

    SML is approximately 40 miles and 50 minutes from Burlington, Vermont and the Burlington International Airport.

  • What options are available for transportation from BTV airport to SML?

Cabs & car service transportation is readily available from BTV airport. Services such as Uber and Lyft are not as readily available as in many parts of the country. 

  • Are pets allowed at Stowe Mountain Lodge?

We are proud to welcome any and all canine members of your family to Stowe Mountain Lodge! Our campus is a great location for four legged friends of all shapes and sizes, and to ensure they are welcomed properly a welcome amenity consisting of a comfortable bed and new chew toy will be provided upon check in. There is a pet fee of $125 per stay,
