A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Chef Steven Sterritt attended Culinary School at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated in August of 1999 with high honors.
Upon graduation Chef Steven followed his dream of living out West and moved to Telluride, Colorado. Chef Steven spent the next four years working in Telluride at places of note such as The Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa, and The Inn at Lost Creek.
After working his way up in the kitchens of Telluride he decided it was time to move on and accepted a new position as Executive Sous Chef for The Snowmass Club in Snowmass, Colorado.

I had multiple opportunities to personally meet some very talented chefs as well as work with a few Master Sommeliers that you don’t just get a chance to do all the time. The clientele was always very unique and often adventurous which allowed us at Sage Restaurant to create a genuine dining experience on a consistent basis.”
Re-locating back to the East Coast in 2007, Chef Steven held the position of Executive Chef at The Avalon Inn in Warren Ohio before signing on with Delaware North Companies in March of 2008. He served over next five years as an Executive Chef for DNC at multiple locations nationwide such as Sequoia National Park and The Lodge & Conference Center in Geneva.
In 2013 he accepted a position back in Colorado with Vail Resorts at The Arrabelle Hotel in Vail Colorado. After one successful winter season he was offered the Chef position of Buffalos Restaurant inside The Ritz Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek Colorado.
In November 2015, Chef Steven accepted his role of Executive Chef for The Artisan Restaurant inside The Stonebridge Inn. Working closely with Food & Beverage Director, Todd Heintz and Sous Chef Jeremiah Harvey will bring a great new twist on The Artisan’s reputable mountain cuisine.
