Just steps from your door is the Squaw Creek chairlift with direct access to Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows’ 6,000 acres of skiable terrain. The hillside directly off the Squaw Creek chair is classified as intermediate and advanced, and the gladed skiing is some of the best on the mountain. Check out Squaw Valley’s Lakeview Trail for a run the whole family can ski together. Beginners should hop on the shuttle for a quick trip to the Village at Squaw Valley.
One of the best ways to discover the immensity of Lake Tahoe is by bike. Meet up on the bike path that begins at Resort at Squaw Creek, and follow it along the Truckee River to Tahoe City, where you can connect to miles of paved lakefront bike path. Or, mountain bike one of the dozens of Tahoe trails that range from beginner to expert throughout the basin.

Want to explore Tahoe by foot? Whether you prefer a walking path or single-track there are endless trails throughout the area. Meet up on the paved trail just beyond the resort’s front door and head to Tahoe City along the Truckee River. Look for trout in the shady pools or watch the fly fishermen reel in their catch of the day. Or take a short drive into Tahoe City to catch the Tahoe Rim trail and enjoy breathtaking views as you hike above the basin.
