Just steps from your door is the Squaw Creek chairlift with direct access to Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows’ 6,000 acres of skiable terrain. The hillside directly off the Squaw Creek chair is classified as intermediate and advanced, and the gladed skiing is some of the best on the mountain. Check out Squaw Valley’s Lakeview Trail for a run the whole family can ski together. Beginners should hop on the shuttle for a quick trip to the Village at Squaw Valley.
One of the best ways to discover the immensity of Lake Tahoe is by bike. Meet up on the bike path that begins at Resort at Squaw Creek, and follow it along the Truckee River to Tahoe City, where you can connect to miles of paved lakefront bike path. Or, mountain bike along Tahoe’s famous Flume Trail and enjoy panoramic mountain views.

Want to explore Tahoe by foot? Meet up on the paved trail just beyond the resort’s front door and head to Tahoe City along the Truckee River. The trail is a delight for all ages with plenty of places to rest and to explore the river. Deep swimming holes abound for those who want to take a dip. Look for trout in the shady pools or watch the fly fishermen reel in their catch of the day. The path is perfect for walking or jogging.
