Memorial Day Weekend Outdoor Events

 

Friday, May 26:

Shirley Canyon Hike | 8:30 am - 12 pm | Hike Shirley Canyon along the waterfalls, up the mountain, and past the alpine lake. Bring your camera! This hike is guided and advanced sign up is required, please contact our recreation team, High Altitude Adventures, at 530.583.6300. The hike includes a backpack that you can take home, and a discussion about the flora and fauna you'll see along the way. $55 ++ per person. 

Ice Cream and Mojitos | 11 am - dark | poolside. Because ice cream and mojitos are always a good idea! 

Pavilion Games | all day | Games will be set up all day on our grass pavilion overlooking the mountains. Play corn hole, tether ball, table tennis, foosball, giant chess, and more. Sign out game equipment from High Altitude Adventures, which is adjacent to the pavilion. 

Crafts | 6 - 7 pm | Resort Lobby

 

Saturday, May 27

Nature Walk | 9 - 10 am | Enjoy a guided one hour walk along our nature trail and engage in a discussion of the flora, fauna, geology, and local history of the Squaw Valley and Lake Tahoe areas. Meet in the lobby at the rocks. Complimentary and sign up is not required. *due to snow still on the trail, we will use the golf course trail instead

Wiffle Ball | 11 am - 12 pm | All are welcome to join in this wiffle ball game! Game will be on the lawn at the edge of our golf course.

Ice Cream and Mojitos | 11 am - dark | poolside. Because ice cream and mojitos are always a good idea! 

Simon Says | 12:30 pm | Simon Says join our game of Simon Says! Adults versus kids for candy prizes. Game is located on our pavilion, no sign up is required.

Crafts | 1 - 2 pm | Pavilion

Water Balloon Fight | 3 pm | This activity will be on our pavilion and please note that it starts at 3 pm sharp, late comers may find that the fight is over quickly. Balloons are expected to go fast!

Sack Races | 4 - 4:30 pm | Sack races will be on the pavilion and winners will receive candy prizes. Sign up is not required.

 

Sunday, May 28

Mini Flag Football | 11 am - 12 pm | Play flag football on our pavilion, this game will be played with a mini football.

Three Legged Race | 2 - 2:30 pm | Adults and kids Three Legged Races, with teams of one adult and one kid. Candy prizes will be awarded!

 

Monday, May 29
