An event like no other, Truckee Thursday is a street fair nestled among the historic saloon-style buildings of “Brickelltown,” also known as historic, downtown Truckee.
Held every Thursday night from 5 – 8:30 pm, from June 8 through August 17, Truckee Thursday welcomes over 50 vendors to set up shop along Donner Pass Road, the street in front of Truckee’s shops, and hundreds of residents and tourists stock up on locally-made jewelry, clothing, art, sporting equipment, and so much more.
A beer garden awaits the fun-loving crowd and live music headlines the event every week. Popular bands rock out on a stage set up adjacent to Truckee’s train station, right in front of the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Take it from us – when a train comes by, as it always does….it is one of the most authentic and beautiful sights to see in our quintessential mountain town.
To the left of the train station, a food court sells fare ranging from Truckee’s famous Red Truck and Morgan’s Lobster Shack, to crowd favorites like chocolate dipped bananas and homemade lemonade.
If you’re staying here at Resort at Squaw Creek, you can take a complimentary shuttle to and from the event. Truckee Thursday is great for all ages. Along with artisan vendors and community displays, the event features children’s activities, including a bounce house, hula hooping, crafts, and more.
Check out Tahoetopia’s time-lapse over downtown Truckee, it’s a great showcase of what to expect.
“Think local. Be Local. Buy Local. Give Local” is Truckee Thursdays' motto. Follow suit and join us for the event!
