It might surprise you to learn that Scottsdale is more than just a pretty place in the desert; it's actually home to some of the most exclusive and elite stores in the country, earning it the nickname "Beverly Hills of the Southwest." If you're a fashionista or you just enjoy window shopping, choose a local hotel that offers convenient access to the retail side of the city, such as The Scottsdale Resort McCormick Ranch.
Scottsdale doesn't mess around when it comes to fashion. The city is home to Scottsdale Fashion Square, which is home to more than 250 retailers and eateries. Its two million square feet make it the largest mall in Arizona and one of the 30 largest malls in the country, so it's a great place to spend a day—or two. Even the mall's anchors show its elite status, with a list that includes Barney's New York, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
Whether you prefer to spend your money at Armani Exchange or Louis Vuitton or you plan to spend time with the kids at the Build-A-Bear Workshop, you'll find something for everyone at Scottsdale Fashion Square. It even has a concierge to make your visit the best it can be, and if your local hotel is The Scottsdale Resort McCormick Ranch, you're less than five miles away from the fashion action.
For a more relaxed (but no less high-end) shopping experience, spend some time at Kierland Commons. It features the obligatory chain stores, including Banana Republic and Anthropologie, but it is also home to many smaller boutique shops that are right at home in this cozy shopping area with its Main Street feel. Kierland Commons has a nice variety of restaurants and cafes as well, including Bar NoRTH, The Greene House and ZINC BISTRO.
If you prefer a more intimate shopping experience, Scottsdale has what you need. The city features plenty of boutique shops you'll fall in love with just like we did, including TE' Boutique, Mahsa and Stephanie's. Our staff is always ready to give you recommendations, or you can explore the city to find your own new favorites.
