Although the sunshine draws travelers to Arizona year-round, as spring returns to the Valley of the Sun things really start to liven up at our Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center. April in Scottsdale brings warmer temperatures, Cactus League baseball, and the low rumble of motorcycles throughout the area. As home of the original Arizona Bike Week, Scottsdale has welcomed motorcycle enthusiasts every April for this week-long rally celebrating bikes and the people who love them. Not sure what to expect for Arizona Bike Week? Here are a few highlights:
The Arizona landscape provides a stunning background for some of the most picturesque rides in America. In order to take full advantage of this, Arizona Bike Week will be hosting five separate charity rides throughout the week. Each ride benefits a different organization including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Lifescape Children’s Care Hospital, Camp Courage (a camp for youth burn survivors), as well as prostate and breast cancer charities.
What kind of live music will you find at Arizona Bike Week? Hard rock, Southern rock, blues rock, whatever the style, to play at Arizona Bike Week you have to rock. With over two dozen different musical acts lined up, 2016 Arizona Bike Week will be chock full of live music. This year's performers include Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Warrant, RATT, Blues Traveler, Social Distortion, and local favorite 74th Street Band returning to Arizona Bike Week for their fifth time.
In addition to live music and charity rides, Arizona Bike Week has events scheduled all day long. The Arizona Bike Week Drill Team shows off their skills with slow-moving turns and fast flybys. If you want to see motorcycles and their riders pushed to their limits, there are stunt shows on BMX and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. In addition to extreme shows, there are safe riding demos, flat track racing, after-hours party, and an auction.
Whether you are a long-time attendee of Arizona Bike Week or a first time visitor, there is still time to book your room for this 20th anniversary event. The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is only short drive from the heart of Arizona Bike Week, but the lush surroundings and luxurious accommodations feel miles away from the bustling excitement. After a long day of riding, surrounded by the rumble of bikes, you can return to The Scottsdale Resort for a little peace and quiet. A signature treatment at Luna Spa is the perfect way to soothe your sore muscles after a long ride so you can wake up ready for your next ride.
