The Royal St. Charles Hotel mirrors the culture of fun and genuine individualism of one of America's most fascinating destinations. Whether it’s our colorful lobby and lighted reception desk, or the renowned PJ's Coffee in the lobby, our boutique hotel is a New Orleans institution in step with the pulse of the city.
HISTORY OF ROYAL ST. CHARLES HOTEL
The Royal St. Charles Hotel was once the Southern Federal Savings Bank, converted in 2000, to one of the first boutique hotels conveniently located near the French quarter. Today, the transformed building thrives as a vibrant New Orleans hotel, and all that remains of its origins is the old bank vault that is still intact. Our hotel’s name honors two of the city’s most historic thoroughfares in Royal Street and St. Charles Avenue.
