PJ's Coffee of New Orleans was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry that demonstrated that better beans, superior roasting techniques, and pure passion for the art of coffee-making mattered. PJ's Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using only the top 1% of Arabica beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries. PJ's Coffee was presented three Gambit "Best of New Orleans 2012" awards for best cup of coffee, best iced coffee and best coffee house.
New Orleans is the coffee capital of the world. The history of coffee in Louisiana is rich and strong. For more than two centuries, the finest coffee beans from around the world have always come here first. Coffee arrived in New Orleans in 1720 when French explorers introduced it to the city. Today, one third of all the coffee in North America lands first on the docks of the Crescent City. Savor a cup of coffee almost anywhere in North America and you'll taste New Orleans. Naturally, the largest coffee roasting plant in the world is located here too. Every cup of PJ's Coffee best represents our commitment to the legacy and culture of the Crescent City.
