Sedona has a very vibrant art scene, with hundreds of artists who craft unique pieces using a variety of mediums and create everything from contemporary arts to Native American and western pieces, from modern realism to visionary.
If you’re a fan of the arts, take some time to browse through the galleries along Arizona Highway 179 (along Gallery Row) and Uptown Sedona, with a number of art galleries just steps outside of Orchards Inn’s front door. Visitors may also want to plan a visit to experience the arts and culture at Arcosanti, an urban laboratory that focuses on innovative design, or at the Sedona Arts Center.
Art enthusiasts may also consider timing their next visit to take full advantage of local artistic events. On the first Friday of the month, a number of the most prominent galleries in Sedona have joined forces with the Sedona Gallery Association in hosting the First Friday Gallery Tour. This unique event runs from 5:00-8:00 pm and features evening openings at a number of prominent galleries, unique demonstrations, and receptions with wine, hors d’oeuvres and live music. There are also a number of annual art events that visitors can enjoy.
