With summer season in full swing two big questions have been on everyone's minds: will the Gondolas be running and will there be fireworks for July 4? We are happy to report that these questions have been answered.
For those who have never visited Vail, there are two Gondola options.
Gondola One is located in Vail Village. From Montaneros, Gondola One is a 20 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride. We recommend taking the beautiful Gore Valley Travel, a paved bike and walking path that runs alongside the Gore Creek. The in-town bus is also a great option. It is free and the stop is right outside of Montaneros.
Vail Resorts has announced that Gondola One in will be operational starting July 1 for scenic rides. Once you're up to top, there are great hiking trails, scenic viewpoints and Grab 'n go food will be available to snack on at Mid-Vail.
Gondola Two (Eagle Bahn) is located in Lionshead, a mere 3 minute walk from Montaneros. Gondola Two is expected to begin turning mid-July with Epic Discovery's interpretive trails, the mountain roller coaster, and grab 'n go food/drink at Eagle's Nest.
Currently, there are no plans for bike hauls, stay tuned for more information.
July 4 in the valley is always a wonderful celebration. This year's Vail America Days will look a bit different than past years. Unfortunately, there will be no parade but the Town of Vail will be featuring exhibits, surprises, and family friendly activities in Lionshead and Vail Village.
Fireworks will be happening this year! As one of the few places in Colorado to be featuring a fireworks show, Vail is the spot to be this July 4. Grab a cocktail and enjoy the fireworks display from your private balcony at Montaneros. All of our condominiums have mountain views - the perfect setting to watch from the comfort of your home away from home.
Fireworks will begin at 9:45 pm and last for 10 minutes.Save 20% On Your Stay This Summer
