Here are a few fun options: The Potomac Heritage Trail offers amazing views of the Potomac River from the bluffs high above or hike The Loudoun trail, part of a series of Northern Virginia trails that connect the region. You can run, hike or walk along the river and cross historic points of interest like Balls Bluff, a famous civil war battle site. For those looking for a faster pace, just steps out our front door is the Lansdowne Loop, a 2.5 mile paved pathway. The National Sporting Library and Museum in Middleburg, is dedicated to preserving, promoting and sharing the literature, art and culture of equestrian, angling and field sports. Located here in Leesburg is Morven Park, a 1,000 acre estate which was once home to former Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis. It features daily tours of its three museums and beautiful woodlands and gardens. If you want to learn about your family genealogy, the Thomas Balch Library in downtown Leesburg, is a history and genealogy library designated as an Underground Railroad research site. Visit The Smithsonian Steven F. Udvar-HazyCenter (National Air and Space Museum) to see thousands of aviation and space artifacts including the Enola Gay from WWII and Space Shuttle Discovery.

If you are looking for internationally-acclaimed wines, Breaux Vineyards, is a 404 acre estate featuring 18 different grape varieties. Long vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains can be enjoyed from the vineyard’s tasting room. If beer is more your thing, we can point you in the direction of one of our 15 amazing craft breweries in Loudoun County, with two great ones just down the street in Ashburn.
