Stone Tower Winery has just announced a Wine Retreat and Wine Camp program in collaboration with Lansdowne Resort and Spa. The first-ever Wine Retreat at Stone Tower will begin Friday, February 24 and go through Sunday, February 26, 2017. The three day program is designed to offer fun and educational workshops focused on food and wine paring, winter vineyard management, cellaring and production techniques, and more. A five-course wine pairing dinner with locally sourced ingredients and champagne brunch are some of the culinary highlights. Stepping into the cellar, the participants will experience crafting artisan Bordeaux-style blends with Winemaker Tim Crowe.
In just three short years, Stone Tower Winery has made its mark as one of the premier wineries in Northern Virginia. Situated on 306 acres atop Hogback Mountain, just south of Leesburg, they are known for their world-class facilities, breathtaking views, and award-winning wines. They currently have over 60 acres of French vinifera that include 12 different varietals and are expected to increase to 100 acres under vine within the next few years. They produce roughly 15,000 cases of wine per year under the Stone Tower Estate label and their secondary label, Wild Boar Cellars.
With the goal of providing an intimate experience for all that participate, the retreat is open to just 25 registrants who, in addition to attending the carefully curated workshops, will be able to interact one on one with the winery owners, winemakers, and Stone Tower’s own sommeliers.
The all-inclusive cost for the 3 day, 2 night retreat is $1,250/pp, which includes:
