What are three items you would bring to a desert island? 
First an umbrella because there are no trees so you need an umbrella for shade. A s
atellite phone to call for help (and while you wait to be rescued, you can also call to get food delivered lol). Lastly, a water purifier because you really need to stay hydrated!

If you could go anywhere in the world where would that be?
New Zealand. 
I have chosen this country because on my way there, I will stop by California, Hawaii, Fiji, and finally go to New Zealand. I’ll probably go to one final destination which is Australia.

What 3 people would you invite to a dinner party?

Jesus- To learn to be more like Him.
Ronald Reagan- I like his conservative views and because he was an eloquent speaker.
My Grandpa Hower- He taught me how to fish, haunt and to work hard. I didn’t get to spend enough time with him when he was with us.

What’s your ideal weekend like?
A mix of sports activity (golf or racquetball) and relaxing time with my wife.

What’s your favorite kind of group to work with?
I like working with Incentive groups because it allows me to create unique events and think outside the box because they are always looking for something new and different.

What’s the secret to your success as a Senior Sales Manager? 
I love building great personal relationships to understand what a customer would like so I can go above their expectations, and with my fellow associates to curate experiences for each guest coming to Lansdowne Resort and Spa.

What’s the biggest career risk you’ve ever taken?

Starting my own business. I learned from this particular example to not be afraid of anything because if I make decisions based on fear, they will hold me back.

Do you have any insider hospitality tips for groups traveling to Virginia Wine Country? 

Allow time to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Too often, groups get hung on the business part of the meeting and don’t take time to recharge which in turn will allow them to be more open to the content.

How do you celebrate a big victory at work?
Quietly, although I’ve been known to do the money dance every once in a while!

What advice do you have for your clients on the best deals?
Be flexible on dates and patterns. It allows us to create memorable events by picking the right space locations, and of course pricing has to do with occupancy, so flexibility on dates can help with pricing.

Describe someone outside of your field who inspires you? 
Payton Manning- He was able to re-invent himself and adapt to a new environment and achieved the top award as a champion.
