SweetFire Kitchen Debuts Fall 2015 Menu

SweetFire Kitchen , La Cantera Hill Country Resort’s lobby level restaurant, is pleased to unveil their fall 2015 menu featuring dishes that explore the flavors of the season. This fall guests can enjoy a wide variety of signature plates from the open-air exhibition style kitchen including:

  • Beer Can Mussels: Bay scallops, chicken and country ham cooked in Pearl Beer with garlic toast.
  • Roasted Pear Salad: Pecan brittle, barley cake and frisee with maple balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Ai Funghi Flat Bread: Fresh chorizo, wild mushrooms, truffle oil and taleggio cheese.
  • Pulled Chicken Rigatoni: Parmesan and prosciutto cream sauce, grilled broccolini and smoked ham.
  • Long Cooked Shortrib: Glazed root vegetables, wild mushrooms, Banylus wine glaze.
  • Filet Mignon: Potato puree, wild mushroom and red wine demi.
  • Gulf Shrimp and Grits: Smoked sausage and pearl onions with gulf crawfish and sauce rouille.

“The new menu was designed with an authentic marriage of the freshest seasonal ingredients and the highest quality of meats, seafood, vegetables and more to celebrate the arrival of fall,” said Chef Jake Andrews.  “The fall palate is slightly richer than the light airiness of summer and our dishes reflect this.”

SweetFire Kitchen is located on the lobby levle of La Cantera Hill Country Resort and features an open-air kitchen, wood-fired pizza oven and home-style cuisine. The restaurant offers spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country as well as al fresco dining overlooking the Plaza San Saba. In addition to the casual dining, SweetFire Kitchen also has a full-service bar with unique craft cocktails, an extensive wine list and draught beers. For groups, family reunions and other gatherings, the private dining area can accommodate 10 to 50 people and includes a large HD screen, perfect for presentations.
