SweetFire Kitchen at La Cantera Resort is spicing up the summer with new menu items sure to rock your taste buds and ignite your love of summer foods. Overlooking Plaza San Saba and the Pool Deck, SweetFire Kitchen is the perfect location to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner while enjoying the beauty around of our Country oasis. But enough about the views, let’s talk about the food.
Summer BBQ for Miles
In Texas, BBQ is basically a religion. But choosing between ribs, or quail or sausage can be hard, and vacations shouldn’t be hard. So SweetFire made it easy for you, they put it all on one plate. The Hill Country BBQ Mix serves up a sampling of thick baby back ribs, savory smoked BBQ Quail and Texas style smoked sausage. Basically, everything your BBQ loving heart could desire.
Chilled seafood samplers are a summer staple, but how creative can you really get when it comes to chilled fish? Well, pretty darn creative. Enjoy delicious oysters on the half shell, beer steamed shrimp (that’s right, beer) and flavorful smoked mussels. Now normally, a typical cocktail sauce would top of this creation, but SweetFire is all about using local, authentic flavors to enhance the cuisine, so the chefs have created a tomatillo cocktail sauce to accompany the seafood. Which means our cocktail sauce comes out looking green.
Adult Grilled Cheese
Nostalgia always seems to be running high in the summer months. What with popsicles, fireworks and cookouts, you can’t help but reminisce on your childhood days. So SweetFire has created the perfect Adult version of your childhood favorite, grilled cheese. But this isn’t your mom’s white bread and pre-packaged cheese slice combo, the SweetFire Adult Grilled Cheese blends three amazing cheese (house made boursin, white cheddar and house made mozzarella) on artisan bread for an amazingly delicious sandwich. And there is always the option to add bacon. Because… its bacon.
A light and fresh summer salad is always a great choice and SweetFire Kitchen made the Caprese salad something new and inventive. The plump Texas grown heirloom tomatoes serve as a base and are topped with house made mozzarella, a thai basil and strawberry gastrique and an amazingly light and a refreshing Texas oil olive ranch vinegar.
