Lavender Mojito

The cold weather that is gripping most of the country is making us long for warm days of summer. To help us get in the summer spirit, we created a delicious and light cocktail to help you make it through the rest of the winter.

What you’ll need:

2 Oz Bacardi Light

1 Oz lavender syrup - see instructions how to make

1 1/2 to 2 Oz soda water

3-4 blueberries

1 lime

8 -10 mint leaves

Instructions:

For the Lavender syrup:

Lavender syrup recipe - boil equal parts water and sugar until light syrup consistency. Pull off flame and steep 8 to 10 oz of fresh lavender buds only in cheese cloth for 45 minutes or desired taste. It should be very floral in taste and color.

For the Cocktail:

Lightly muddle 3 to 4 blueberries, 2 lime wedges and 8 to 10 mint leaves. Be sure not to over muddle or you'll bruise the fruit. Add soda water, lavender syrup and scoop of ice to shaker. Lightly shake all ingredients for about 6 to 8 seconds. Serve and garnish with sugar cane stick.
