Mountain Information

With easy access from our Tahoe ski resort, Palisades Tahoe offers an unparalleled variety of terrain, providing a mountain experience unlike any other North American ski area.

Palisades Tahoe provides skiers and riders access to both the Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows mountain experiences. Resort guests can explore 270+ trails across more than 6,000 acres of skiable terrain. With a complimentary 15 minute shuttle that runs between the base areas. Palisades Tahoe offers the most terrain in a single day, on a single pass, of all Lake Tahoe resorts.

Tahoe's Longest Season - With snowfall possible from mid-November through the end of May, Palisades Tahoe offers, on average, more days of snow than any other Tahoe resort. At both resorts, the vast upper mountain holds snow in wide-open bowls, accumulating a base snow depth that ranges from 10-20 feet. This makes for exceptional spring skiing with more terrain open longer. There have even been years when guests could ski on the 4th of July! Nevertheless, please call ahead to confirm the snow conditions because the length of the ski season can change based on the season’s snowfall.

More Lifts - Palisades Tahoe massive network of 32 lifts includes 10 high-speed express chairs and redundant lifts to ensure fast access and no lift lines, all over the mountain, even on the busiest holidays.

Extensive Grooming - There's nothing like carving turns on a freshly groomed run. Palisades Tahoe grooming fleet tills and pushes the snow all around the mountain every night to make perfect corduroy every morning. From wide-open rolling glades, to some of the steepest groomed runs in North America, there's groomed terrain for all abilities.

World-Class Ski and Snowboard Schools and Guide Programs -  Palisades Tahoe offers lesson and guide programs for all tastes and abilities. The children's ski and ride programs are designed to maximize fun and learning. All lessons include priority lift line access. Private and guided programs are available in full and half day sessions. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 800.403.0206
