The Rooftop nestled upon a renowned The Embassy Row Hotel has kicked off summer with a big splash. The Embassy Row Hotel’s $500,000 renovation of The Rooftop concluded in June and officially opened earlier this month. The 4,130-square-foot, open-air roof terrace features a 450-square-foot swimming pool and outdoor lounge area adorned with resort cabanas and lounge seating giving travelers and locals a place to relax and unwind.

Get ready because The Embassy Row Hotel sports the only outdoor rooftop terrace in Dupont Circle providing guests with astounding views of the city including picturesque observations of the Washington Monument, National Cathedral and the surrounding DC and Virginia skylines.
Nine stories up and refurbished to serve as an engaging social experience, The Rooftop atmosphere is enhanced by teak plush seating, modern landscape architecture and the addition of a new food and beverage menu, making it an ideal and sophisticated setting for a variety of purposes ranging from private events to casual summer retreats.
Who has access?
Book your hotel room at The Embassy Row Hotel because guests receive complimentary access and priority for The Rooftop. Limited day passes are available to the public for $25/each at the front desk. The Rooftop also has 20 exclusive members. After 5:00 PM, entrance to The Rooftop is free.
When is The Rooftop open?
Currently, The Rooftop is open seven days a week from 7 AM – 10 AM. The Rooftop plans to stay open until September 30. If the fall is mild, they hope to stay open longer, but call the hotel first (202-265-1600).
Is there a bar?
Yes! Enjoy lunch, dinner or grab a late-night bite. The Rooftop restaurant and bar service is available Wednesday – Sunday.
