Steven, a New Jersey Guy at heart, first found his passion for Food & Beverage in college. Drawn to the restaurant industry’s fast pace and ever evolving nature, he has worked in many roles from sales to management. After a friend’s suggestion to go into the hotel industry, Steven made the transition and hasn’t looked back! With a passion for guest satisfaction and executing great events, Steven brings luxury level service with a personal touch to the Embassy Row Hotel.
Maurice Moreno, The Rooftop Manager
Moreno brings nearly 18 years of hospitality entertainment experience to The Rooftop, having managed the programming at resorts including the Westin Diplomat and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Most recently, he managed the Boca Raton Resort & Club, Waldorf Astoria. In his new role, Moreno will direct all operations on The Rooftop from food and beverage to nightlife and community programming, including the hotel’s celebrated “Support A Cause” fundraising nights – a passion point for the District’s only lifestyle hotel.
Steven Cabreja, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
Steven brings a fresh, well-rounded background to the Embassy Row Hotel from his previous experience in New York at the Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson. During his last 3 years of college at Pace University, Steven was able to get a great taste of the hospitality industry as a Guest Service Agent, Concierge, and Customer Relations Agent. Upon receiving his bachelors in Hospitality Management, Steven took upon the role as the property’s Manager-in-Training. This is where Steven found an interest in Food & Beverage and in operating many types of Food & Beverage functions. With Steven’s unique experience, he is the final piece to three man F&B show.
