    Beach & Ocean Sports

With 120 miles of coastline, Maui boasts over 30 miles of beautiful beaches. On these world famous shores, you’ll find white, black and red sand beaches, ocean sports like surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing, as well as some of the best beaches in the world for simply swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. Some are easily accessible beach parks with lifeguards, picnic facilities and restrooms. Others are found off the beaten path. Right here in Wailea and Makena, we're lucky to have such close proximity to the sand and surf near our Hawaii resorts in Maui.

    BEACHES OF WAILEA
Polo Beach - A picturesque sandy beach fronting the Polo Beach Club, one of our many Maui luxury resorts.
Wailea Beach - Along Wailea’s luxury hotel row, ocean activities are easily available.
Ulua Beach - Fronting the Wailea Elua Village, this popular beach for snorkeling and diving has access to an ocean naturalist.
Mokapu Beach -  Accessible via the Wailea Coastal Walk and in front of the Andaz Wailea, this sandy beach has great snorkeling, too.
Keawakapu Beach - A popular sandy beach that is easily accessible to guests of Wailea Ekahi Village.

    BEACHES OF MAKENA
Po’olenalena Beach - A relatively unknown beach, popular with local families.
Makena Bay/Landing - It’s hard to imagine this quiet picturesque bay was once the bustling port for the Makena community.
Maluaka Beach - A lovely white sand beach in front of the former Makena Beach and Golf Resort.
Makena Beach - The Hawaiian name of Oneloa translates to “Big Beach” describing a 1.5 miles long and 100 feet wide beach, one of the most beautiful pristine beaches in all of Maui.
La Perouse Bay - A lava rock path leads to a rough black sand beach, where the first European set foot on Maui.
