A COVID-19 Update from Destination Residences Hawaii

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT TRAVELING TO HAWAII IN 2022:

Over the past two years, Destination Residences Wailea has consistently been adapting to all the latest health, safety and cleanliness recommendations and protocols to assure both our guests and staff are comfortable and satisfied.

Thanks to measures enacted early to keep Hawaii residents and visitors safe, the state will no longer require domestic travelers coming to Hawaii to enroll in the Safe Travels Hawaii program, show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or obtain a pre-travel negative test result.

Due to federal regulations actively in place nationwide, international travelers 18 and older who are not US citizens, US nationals, lawful permanent residents, or green card holders must still be fully vaccinated to enter the US. Children 17 and younger are exempt.

ONCE ON MAUI:

We are happy to share that your experience participating in tours, boat excursions, attending a luau, or dining at your favorite local restaurants should be essentially the same you were accustomed to on past Hawaii vacations prior to 2019. While it is not mandated, due to a recent increase in cases on Maui, it is strongly recommended that guests wear masks in indoor public spaces. For your safety, our staff will be wearing masks when entering your vacation rental or while indoors. All capacity restrictions have been removed and most businesses are operating at normal operations.

As always, we ask that you visit our island home in the spirit of Mālama (take care of, tend, care for, preserve or protect) by reviewing the Mālama Maui County Pledge and Road to Hana Driving Code of Conduct.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding these past two years and for allowing us to work alongside our guests to make your visit to the Hawaiian Islands a pleasant one. Stay safe, wash your hands often, and we hope to see you soon.
