Winter Events

Besides being a world class ski destination, Snowmass is also known for its incredible winter programming with entertaining events for the whole family. 

Take a look at all the fantastic events and attractions happening this winter:

Ice Sculptures: Dec 16 - Mar 24

Sculptor Thomas Barlow creates amazing ice sculptures including a Snowmass logos, selfie snowflakes, gondola, skiers, mastodon, and lighting. These will be on display for viewings and live demos are taking place every other Wednesday.

Mountain Mission: November 15 - End of the Season

A fun and interactive way to test your Snowmass knowledge and enhance your selfie skills. Each question is assigned a point value, if you reach 3,000 points, you win a Snowmass buff. At 6,000 points you win a grand prize worth over $75. Download the Eventzee app from the App Store and enter the event code: Snowmass

ACES Guided Treks: December 14 - April 16

Get out and explore the beauty of Snowmass while learning about mountain habitats, local ecology, and Snowmass history. These two hour guided tours explore the Nature and Sleighride trails and you may very well spot some wildlife! Snowshoes are provided. 

Offering a variety of educational and fun tours for those visiting Snowmass this winter at 10am & 1pm daily lasting two hours. The treks are free and limited to 10 people with equipment provided. 

Music on the MallDecember 3 - April 15

Taking place every Thursday featuring live music from local musicians on the Tower Stage during Après from 3-5pm. 

Snowmass S'mores: Daily, November 26 - April 15

Enjoy a post-skiing treat. Free s'mores starting at 3:30pm daily will be provided by mix6 and Slow Groovin' Chophouse. Just look for the s'mores carts resembling oversized marshmallows in Snowmass Base Village and in the Snowmass Mall by Tower Stage and Four Mountain Sports.  

Fireworks: January 30, February 13, March 27 at 9:00pm off Fanny Hill

Amazing fireworks displays best viewed from Base Village.

Fat Bikes: All Season

Bring your own bike and enjoy the trails around the Snowmass Recreation Center, loop around the soccer field, and all the recreation paths.

Snowmass LuminescenceDecember 18 - February 28

  • Tree Up-Lighting: A combination of up and string lights decorating every large tree in the Base Village & Mall
  • The Tunnel: 6 segments with different designs that create an immersive walking path from sunset until 9am nightly
  • Art Installations: Two large scale interactive LED installations by acclaimed artists, Submergence and Squidsoup 

The Dance: All season

Taking place at the ice rink daily at 4pm, featuring artwork from the FriendsWithYou series by artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III. 

Base Village Activities: 1pm-8pm daily - All Season
