Mountain biking in Aspen Snowmass is a super fun way to get outside, see a lot of terrain, go fast, and enjoy the ride. There are hundreds of miles of easy cross-country trails to explore, as well as plenty of hard climbs and rewarding descents. But the crown jewel of the entire trail system is the Snowmass Bike Park.
The Snowmass Bike Park offers ten lift-serviced downhill trails. And it's only getting better thanks to a multi-year trail expansion project with Gravity Logic. This year, three new trails are being added to the Bike Park, along with a refresh of existing trails. The Snowmass Bike Park is open daily during the summer season, and weekends in the fall. Events take place throughout the summer season including Demo Days, Passholder Week, Bonus Bike Nights, SBP Race Series, Audi Power of Four Mountain Bike Race, and the Big Mountain Enduro Finals.
For mountain bikers who prefer cross-country single track, there are literally trails all through the Roaring Fork Valley suited to families, beginnners, experts who love the big rides, quick loops for early morning rides, and more. Bike.GoSnowmass.com is a great resource to find trails perfectly suited to your needs. Or read this round-up of Mountain Biking Nirvana in the Roaring Fork Valley or these top trail picks.
Whichever trail you choose, exploring Snowmass on two wheels is one of the best ways to experience the entire area. You can also read about hiking in Snowmass here >
Have fun!
