We look forward to welcoming you back to Hawaii, where our priority is to provide for the health and wellbeing of our owners, guests, and colleagues. We are prepared to deliver a relaxing Hawaiian escape for you and your family, complete with the personalized service and spacious residential accommodations that we are known for.
All Destination Residences Hawaii properties have implemented enhanced safety and cleanliness standards including social distancing protocols to our common areas and safe service delivery standards. Our properties are following guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and State of Hawaii Department of Health. Below are some of the measures we have put in place for the safety, health, and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues.
Hyatt Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment
As a part of Hyatt Hotels Independent Collection, Destination Residences Hawaii is adhering to the Hyatt Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment, an industry-leading cleaning standards protocol including GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) STAR accreditation for each of our properties. This performance-based cleaning, sanitation, and infectious disease prevention program is designed to ensure a sanitary, safe, and healthy environment for all.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
Daily housekeeping service is temporarily suspended. Mid-stay cleaning service and linen changes are included for all stays of six nights or longer. Additional housekeeping services may be requested and scheduled 72 hours in advance at no additional charge. Housekeepers have been allotted additional time to properly clean each residence. Maintenance calls will take place while guests are not present in the residences. All services will be performed by our trained staff wearing proper personal protective equipment and using CDC-recommended and EPA-registered materials and supplies.
Guest Safety
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available upon request. Guests are required to wear face masks in common areas and asked to adhere to social distancing recommendations of staying six feet from others outside their family or group. Best practice signage will be placed throughout the resort. Each property will be certified with the GBAC STAR accreditation for industry-leading sanitation standards.
Colleague Safety
All team members will be required to wear face masks and appropriate PPE for their job duties while working on property. Each colleague will receive temperature checks daily when they report to work. Any team member feeling under the weather or with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees will be required to stay home. Our colleagues will be training and equipped to meet our new hygiene operational standards and protocols.
Resort Common Areas
Per the Governor’s emergency rules, face coverings are required in all common areas of the resort. Hand sanitizer stations are conveniently located throughout the property. Enhanced and regular cleanings are implemented in all common areas and public spaces including specific sanitation measures for high touch locations. Social distancing and health guidelines are posted throughout the property and at the entrance to amenity spaces.
Accommodations
Residences will be deep cleaned and sanitized after each departure. As a part of our enhanced cleaning protocols, surfaces will be cleaned with an EPA-registered disinfectant, with particular focus on high-touch areas such as television remotes, light switches, toilet seats, nightstands, telephones, and alarm clocks. Disinfecting Kits will be provided in each vacation home for your personal use. Reusable collateral will be replaced by a single-use compendium document for your convenience. Prior to arrival, each vacation home will be inspected by a trained housekeeping supervisor to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation for your stay.
Fitness Centers
Disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer stations, and face masks will be made available to guests while using the facilities. Fitness equipment will be spaced appropriately and the number of guests will be limited to ensure social distancing. Our colleagues will provide increased frequency of sanitation and cleaning of equipment and facilities throughout the day.
Pools and Hot Tubs
Seating will be spaced accordingly to encourage social distancing, including chaise lounge groups and dining areas. The number of people who can use resort pools at any given time will be limited. Staff will clean furniture and high-touch areas on a regular basis and disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer stations will be available to guests.
As this rapidly changing and sensitive situation continues to evolve, we will continue to monitor government, CDC and WHO recommendations as well as Hawaii state and local guidelines to maximize the safety of our colleagues and guests. Stay up to date on the State of Hawaii’s Covid-19 Guidelines. We will update this page on a regular basis.
