Following a $40 million renovation, Cape Neddick’s Cliff House will reopen in August. The property is on 60 acres atop Bald Head Cliff offering 132 guest rooms that have terraces with water views. The on-site restaurants and bars use local ingredients and menus are influenced by the products of the state, like The Tiller, which will serve farm-fresh local produce and line-caught fish and has an outdoor bar. Nubb’s Lobster Shack will serve Maine lobster rolls, fried clams and burgers with a selection of local craft beers. The property offers over 25,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 300 guests, including 11 meeting spaces with ocean views, a ballroom and a 150-seat amphitheater. There are activities for all seasons, including an 18-hole golf course adjacent to the property as well as tennis, hiking, biking, sea kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and helicopter tours of the nearby lighthouses.
