Summer music galore! If you're a fan of live music, you've traveled to the right place. Summer after summer, Vail continues to grow and expand their live music scene. A plethora of both free shows and ticketed concerts run all summer long. This blog will focus on some of those free concerts!
One of the best perks of vacationing in Vail during the summer are the weekly free concerts. The most popular of these being the Moes Original Bar B Que Hot Summer Nights. These shows are FREE and held every Tuesday night at 6:30pm at the gorgeous Gerald R Ford Amphitheater. Guests can enjoy the spacious lawn seating on a warm summer day or sit in the covered section closer to the stage.
June 25th brings Bob Marley's former band, The Wailers. This is sure to be a groovy event for the whole family!
Jackie Green Band comes to town July 2nd. Greene's debate album "Gone Wanderin' won the California Music Award for best Blues/Roots album in 2003. Greene has toured with famous acts including: Gov't Mule, Mark Knopfler, B.B King, Phil Lesh, Huey Lewis, and Buddy Guy.
July 16th features Big Something. This 6-piece group has taken the jam-band scene by storm and is guaranteed to put on a great performance!
American blues and R&B group, The California Honeydrops bring their exciting New Orleans style to Vail Aug 20th.
Last, but certainly not least, Vail welcomes Bone Diggers Aug 27. They will be covering Paul Simon's songs with their own added twists and jams! This will be an evening everyone can sing along to!
