Across our collection of 40 independent luxury and upscale hotels and resorts spanning America and the Caribbean, we have a terrific team of female beverage leaders. Here, we share how three of our favorite female beverage leaders are making their mark on the industry.
Caitlin Hula, Beverage Manager: Cliff House Maine, A Destination Hotel
In addition to overseeing all the beverage programming, Hula also develops specialty cocktails for events, seasonal menus, and for individuals. For example: she’s happy to concoct a unique cocktail for guests to help them connect to a special experience or day. Hula is also passionate about making all of its syrups – which come in unusual flavors like blueberry-rosemary-pink peppercorn and strawberry rhubarb – in house.
Shel Bourdon, National Director of Bars: Two Roads Hospitality
Recently appointed as National Director of Bars, Shel Bourdon brings a wealth of invaluable experience to her new job. And there’s little she can’t or won’t do, from developing bar programming to educating beverage teams on how to properly make all the cocktail classics. He goal is to make sure that guests visiting any Destination Hotel will consistently receive gracious service, along with well-crafted drinks.
Taryn Miletti, Fitz Bar & Restaurant Manager: Manor Vail Lodge, A Destination Hotel
During her three years as operations manager of The Fitz Bar & Restaurant, Miletti has elevated the beverage program by featuring local Colorado drafts and spirits. On top of that, she’s also renown enlisting fresh ingredients from the hotel’s garden and house made syrups in her whimsical playful cocktail creations.
