What you can’t miss in our nation’s capital

Small but mighty, Washington, D.C. is home to tons of exciting things to see and do. Our list of must-see sites includes the Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, Lincoln Memorial, Tidal Basin, and the National Mall. Once you’ve snapped the requisite photos, make your way to the Smithsonian Museums, all of which are free to the public. (Standouts include Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the National Museum of Natural History.) If you’re a baseball fan, cheer on the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. And to taste some of the city’s best eats, visit Chinatown and The Wharf, a glittering waterfront development filled with popular restaurants, like Del Mar de Fabio Trabocchi and Hank’s Oyster Bar.
