Vail’s Surprising Art Scene

Don’t miss Vail’s Art in Public Places

Vail might be most famous for its snow-capped mountains and topnotch winter sports scene, but did you know that world-class art also abounds in the destination? Vail’s Art in Public Places (AIPP) is a cultural program, involving displaying 36 visually compelling and educational pieces throughout Vail Valley. (The most recent acquisition is a stunning installation by artist Paul Vexler in the Vail Village Welcome Center.) The goal? To surprise and delight locals and visitors alike. And now through April 15, 2020, enjoy a free one hour public art tour on the first and third Wednesdays every month.
