Below, she shares her Chapel Hill, NC visitors guide and how she would recommend spending a day in the city.
“There are plenty of fun and exciting things to do when visiting Chapel Hill, N.C., The Southern Part of Heaven. First stop, TOPO Distillery, where the spirit crafters will educate you on the process of distilling fine spirits. After the tour be sure to purchase a bottle gin, vodka and whiskey all of which are made with organic ingredients.
Then head over to Morehead Planetarium to enjoy a dazzling multimedia star shows, interactive exhibits featuring current science research and other special events year-round.
Need to get your art fix while in town? Make your way to Ackland Art Museum which houses a collection of over 15,000 objects representing the history of European painting and sculpture, including masters such as Rubens, Delacroiz, Degas and Pisarro. This museum is great for a quick visit or full day exploration.
You can’t come to Chapel Hill during football season, and not watch the Tar Heels play at Kenan Stadium! Stop by the stadium anytime to take in the amazing scenery – it’s one of the most picturesque athletic venues in America. Kenan Stadium has been home of the Tar Heels since 1927.
