A Surprising Holiday Destination

There’s more to Park City than top-notch skiing

Park City might be best known as a wintry destination for outdoor enthusiasts, but here’s a travel tip: it’s also an enchanting place to visit for the holidays.

On December 15th, Santa is coming to town – in this case, though, to Town Lift Plaza. In the evening, visitors can enjoy complimentary cookies and cocoa while he meets and greets with children.

Then, between December 22nd through January 6th, Park City Mountain will host its annual Snowfest, a 16-day family-friendly festival featuring live music and entertainment, après ski events, and delicious activities like s’mores roasting.

The Annual Torchlight Parade, a beloved city tradition, will be held on December 24th. The event commences with over 100 local ski and snowboard instructors skiing down the mountain with torches in hand – which creates an especially beautiful and photogenic atmosphere – and is followed by the Torchlight Parade.

And on New Year’s Eve, the area lights up (literally!) with a dazzling fireworks display and live music performances. As Park City is especially popular with travelers this time of year, be sure to book your room at Newpark Resort & Hotel today.
