Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

The already beautiful valley goes into full bloom

This April, northwestern Washington’s Skagit Valley will bloom with millions of brilliantly-hued tulips for the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. One of the country’s most unique destination festivals, it draws in over a million visitors from all over the world.

But because the flowers are so delicate, the festival is designed as a driving tour, with all the fields located between La Conner and Mount Vernon. (Pro tip: locals recommend The Roozengaarde and Tulip Town for especially colorful views and dazzling photo opportunities.) As you can imagine, the destination gets especially busy during the weekends, so we recommend booking a room at Skamania Lodge mid-week for a better rate and to beat the crowds!
