San Jose’s Must Visit Breweries
The city is home to some seriously supreme suds
There’s never been a better time to be a craft beer fan in San Jose than right now. While craft breweries may be popping up all over the city these days, here are three you can’t miss when you need to quench your thirst. Then, rest up in a room at the hip Hotel De Anza.
Strike Brewery Co.
While craft brewing is serious business here, the space is all about having fun, as evidenced by the on-site food truck, foosball, and ping pong tables. Above all else, Founders Jennifer Lewis and Drew Ehrlich are committed to creating quality, full-bodied session beers with flavor in mind.
Floodcraft Brewing Co.
Given its location on the patio of the Alameda Whole Foods and the area’s mild climate year-round, it’s more than easy to enjoy a delicious pint outdoors every day of the year. If you’re feeling peckish, there’s savory bar snacks (think hot pretzels, buffalo wings, and charcuterie boards) on hand, too.
Located in downtown Jose, this lively brewery has plenty of indoor and outdoor space – where you can play around of cornhole – to cater to all kinds of groups. Sour beers and IPAs may be the specialty here, but sampler flights let you sample everything that’s rotating on tap.
