Where to Play Trivia in Kansas City

Mingle with locals, win prizes, and have fun

Every night of the week in Kansas City, thousands of people congregate in area bars not only to kick back with beers and bites, but with…wait for it: trivia. But when you think about it, it makes good sense. It’s something locals and tourists alike can participate in, can be enjoyed any time of year (come rain or shine), and is a terrific way to network and socialize. Below, three spots where you can enjoy this unique local tradition.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium

Every Tuesday night, two rounds of trivia are hosted 7:30 and 10:00pm. There’s fun prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, and get there early to take advantage of the social hour, which his held from 4:00 to 7:00pm. All taps are gently priced at $4, and feature a diverse range of brews, including beloved domestics to lesser-known imports.

Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill

In addition to holding trivia nights Wednesdays (8:00pm) and Thursdays (9:00pm) and having plenty of beer taps to quench your thirst, The Flea whips up some of the city’s very best burgers. They all feature quality beef from McGonigle’s Market, but if you’re really hungry, you can’t go wrong with the infamous (and humongous) Super Flea 5-Patty Burger.

Waldo Pizza

For over two decades, this beloved pizzeria has hosted a lively, interactive trivia night every Tuesday at 8:00p.m. While that’s plenty of fun in itself, it’s the mind-boggling pizza options – including three crusts, ten sauces, and twelve cheeses – that’ll have everyone cheering in your group.
