Kaanapali Ali Golf Course
Creative ways to enjoy golf
As you know, not all golf courses are created equal. That’s certainly the case with Kaanapali Ali Golf Course, located just steps from Kaanapali Alii Resort in Lahiana, Maui. The legendary 36-hole course encompasses 1200 acres, and also offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and West Maui Mountains. While the course is terrific for more serious enthusiasts – it’s been the home of the Champions Tour Kaanapali Classic for over a decade – it also offers more unique, less traditional options.
FootGolf is a totally different way to enjoy the course. After 4:00pm daily, 9 and 18 holes are available for guests to kick a soccer ball (instead of swinging a club) to the hole. (Pro tip: it’s an especially fun activity for reunions, corporate outings, and family get-togethers.)
FIT CLUB was started so guests could enjoy both world-class golfing and an awe-inspiring sunsets at the same time. After 4:00pm, guests can leisurely talk and enjoy holes 1 through 6. It’s a great opportunity to unwind, get a little fitness in, and enjoy the gorgeous natural backdrop. The monthly fee for this offering is $99 per month.
If you happen to love surfing and golfing, you’ll flip for the fun GolfBoards. Surfing legend Laird Hamilton was consulted for the design of these unique boards, which zip you quickly from hole to hole. They’re environmentally friendly, since they run on lithium-ion batteries, but more importantly, they’re fun!
This summer, between June and September, the next generation of golfers will get to enjoy a complimentary round of golf when accompanied by a paying adult. It’s a smart, and affordable way for families to bond and spend quality time together – while enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian sun!
