Let the Sunrise In!
The days of just up and deciding, on the spur of the moment, to go watch the sunrise from the top of Haleakala are over. (Given that it is, at best, a 90-minute drive from Kahului up to the summit, “spur of the moment” is a relative phrase, but still.)

Four days of bonding with your new BFFs, that is, while bombing down the blue and black runs at Aspen Snowmass. Monday morning at 10 sharp, no more than 10 of you will gather, along with four instructors, at Snowmass’s Base Village for the first day of the weekly Women’s Edge Ski & Snowboard School.
It’s hard to believe we’re even saying this, but the powers that be at Squaw are actually praying for the next snowstorm to hold off, at least till after the Audi Women’s FIS World Cup is over and the victors climb onto the podium: our cheers will be split between Mikaela Shiffrin, who’s on a hot streak this season, Lindsey Vonn, and local favorite Julia “Gold Medal” Mancuso.
