Destination Hotels & Resorts Reaffirms Commitment to Northeast Region with New York City National Sales Office

Destination opens new national sales office in New York City

Englewood, Colo. – March 28, 2006 – Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R) has opened a national sales office at 470 Park Avenue, Suite 1704 in Manhattan, reaffirming its major commitment to the northeast region. The New York City office will serve current and new clients, with a focus on corporate and association business in the greater New York metropolitan area.

“Our New York presence is just part of our commitment to enhance our service and facilities in the Northeast,” said Steve Sackman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing Director for DH&R. “We’re investing $25 million in capital improvements for the Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center in Northern New Jersey to update its facilities and services, and $11 million to restore Tarrytown House Estate and Conference Center which will be completed next month. This additional investment will significantly strengthen the stature of both these properties as two of the Northeast’s premier meeting venues.

“Hamilton Park has routinely won every conceivable award in the meetings market,” Sackman continued. “Combining its outstanding service with a fresh new look that includes upgrades to the lobby, ballroom, all conference space, guest parking lots and tennis courses, Hamilton Park will prove to be the area’s most desired meeting facility. A second phase, a $22 million investment, is slated to begin in the latter part of this year, and will include guest rooms and additional meeting and conference space.

The restoration of Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center has focused on the grandeur of the historic Biddle Mansion and King House, its guestroom houses, meeting spaces, and sports center. The property, which overlooks the majestic Hudson River, offers a blend of gracious charm and history, with exceptional conference and leisure facilities,” he concludes.
