Destination Hotels & Resorts, the third largest independent hospitality management company in the United States, announces the promotion of Chris Kenney to regional vice president of sales and marketing.
Englewood, Colo. – July 22, 2011 – Destination Hotels & Resorts, the third largest independent hospitality management company in the United States, announces the promotion of Chris Kenney to regional vice president of sales and marketing. Mr. Kenney provides global strategic direction for fifteen properties in the Destination Hotels & Resorts Western region. In addition, Mr. Kenney will continue to support the business objectives and business development strategies to acquire new properties for the portfolio in the Western region. Mr. Kenney is also responsible for recruitment and leadership development of sales and marketing leaders in this region.
Chris Kenney joined the company in 1999 as director of sales and marketing for Tempe Mission Palms and was promoted to regional director of sales and marketing for Destination Hotels & Resorts in 2005. Previously, Mr. Kenney was the director of sales and marketing for the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort. Prior to that, Mr. Kenney spent eight years with the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center as director of sales and marketing. He began his career at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs with the Broadmoor Management Company. Mr. Kenney has served on the USA Hockey board of directors since 2004. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a BA in Marketing.
