Jeff Minton PGA
Director of Golf and Sports

For over 20 years Jeff Minton has dedicated his life to providing a quality golf experience to members and guests at a variety of world-class resorts and private clubs.

After playing junior, high school, and college golf in Arizona, Jeff became a Class A PGA Professional and began his career in the hospitality industry at the famed Pinehurst Resort and Club. He soon became the Head Golf Professional at Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain Resort in Michigan before becoming Director of Golf at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Arizona, where he was instrumental in the Lodge receiving numerous Top 100 Golf Shop awards and the prestigious Golf Magazine Gold Medal award.

His far-reaching aspirations resulted in his becoming part of a ground-breaking club in Seattle, Washington, The Golf Club at Newcastle. As Director of Golf Operations, Jeff assisted in the development and opening of two 18-hole championship golf courses and a state-of-the-art practice instructional facility. Newcastle rapidly became one of the must-play facilities in the Northwest.

Most recently Jeff was the Director of Golf/Club Director at the La Costa Resort and Spa, in Carlsbad, California. Jeff contributed his expertise to the 140 million dollar renovation at the 400 room, 36-hole, world renowned resort. He was proud to be part of the last 4 World Match Play Championship PGA tournaments held at the La Costa Resort. Equally challenging and rewarding has been his hosting several Celebrity-Pro/Am tournaments.
