Audubon Certification
Audubon International is one of the oldest, most well-respected environmental organizations in the world. Based out of New York, the organization helps communities, businesses, new developments and golf courses become more environmentally sustainable. Golf courses in the Destination Hotels & Resorts collection focus on maintaining their grounds in an eco-friendly way. Resort at Squaw Creek, Skamania Lodge Golf Course and the Stowe Mountain Club are all certified golf courses by Audubon International.
International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) - Code of Sustainability
The IACC recognizes its members who demonstrate they are leaders in environmental responsibility. Education, awareness, recycling, waste, water, purchasing and energy are just a few of several categories where the IACC encourages members to implement sustainable practices and policies. Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, Hamilton Park Hotel & Conference Center, The Inverness Hotel & Conference Center, Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center, Skamania Lodge and Tempe Mission Palms Hotel & Conference Center are members of the IACC's Gold Tier and Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center is a member of the IACC's Silver Tier.
Clean the World
Every day in North America, thousands of hotels discard millions of pounds of soap and shampoo. These products often end up in already overflowing landfills and contaminate fragile groundwater systems. Clean the World is an organization that recycles used bathroom amenities from hotels and donates the re-batched soap to impoverished countries and communities who need it most. Several hotels in the Destination Hotels & Resorts collection are partners of Clean the World and avoid contributing additional waste to landfills by donating their used bathroom amenities to the organization.
